Spiced Banana, Pear & Apple Purée

This simple purée is so delicious and packed with flavour. The addition of cinnamon and cardamom really adds depth of flavour complements the natural sweetness of the fruit.

This purée is so velvety and the subtle earthy tones from the cardamom will be sure to tantalise little taste buds! 

Bananas are a great first food for babies and are nutrient dense! They are loaded with potassium, magnesium, B6, soft and taste delicious!! ⁠Pears are high in fibre so are great to keep things moving for those little ones new to food! 

Ways to serve this purée :

  • Add to oatmeal 
  • Stir into yoghurt
  • Eat it as it is for a snack!
  • Pop into a reusable pouch for snacking on the go

What do you need?

4 apples, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces

3 pears, peeled, cored and cut into small pieces

3 ripe bananas

1/2 - 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

1/2 - 1 tsp crushed cardamom seeds

 

 

Then...

  1. Steam the apples and pears in water until soft (about 10 minutes)
  2. Add the softened apples and pears, banana, cinnamon and cardamom seeds to a blender and whizz until smooth.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 of freeze for 3 months.
