1 Bowl Savoury Muffins
Easy 1 bowl savoury muffins that are loaded with veggies, protein, fibre and fat! Savoury snack ideas are always welcome around here and make a nice change from sweet muffins! Their texture and size make them perfect for little hands and these are suitable from 6 months upwards.

Serves: 6 muffins/12 mini muffins

Can be frozen for 3 months
What do you need?
1/2 cup/60g spelt flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsps hemp hearts
1 tbsp dried herbs
A dash of milk (any kind)
3 tbsp melted butter | (or substitute 3 tbsp melted coconut oil for dairy free/vegan alternative)
A handful of grated cheese | (or substitute 3 tbsp nutritional yeast dairy free/vegan alternative)
1 egg/1 chia egg
1 small grated courgette
Then...
- Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
- Using a tea towel squeeze out the moisture from the courgette and then add the courgette to the dry ingredients. Add in the butter, milk, cheese and egg. Stir until well combined.
- Pop into a greased muffin tin and bake at 180 for 20/25 mins until golden brown.
How to make a chia egg:
Mix 1 tbsp chia seeds with 3 tbsp water and let it sit for 10 minutes.
