Baby Friendly Apple Purée 

This delicious apple purée is gently spiced and bursting with vitamins, minerals, fibre and flavour! It is a great way to introduce flavour and spices to your baby.

It is freezer friendly, comes together quickly and can be used in so many different ways!


What can you use apple purée for? 

  • Serve as a snack for babies!
  • Mix into porridge for babies and toddlers
  • Serve in a pouch for a portable snack
  • Add to Greek yoghurt for a balanced snack
  • Use it as a dipping sauce
  • Use it in baking, apple purée can work as an egg replacement in some recipes

What do you need?

  • 6 apples peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp grated/minced ginger
  • A squeeze of lemon juice



  1. Add all of the ingredient to a large pan and cook over a low heat until the apple are soft (about 15-20 minutes). 
  2. Add to a blender and purée until smooth.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
