Savoury Crepes With Paneer Tikka

Savoury Crepes With Paneer Tikka

These savoury crepes are unbelievably delicious! Usually we always gravitate towards sweet pancakes but mixed it up with this savoury option for lunch  .

I whipped up these simple crepes for lunch and topped with mint raita, smashed avocado, flavoursome paneer tikka, crunchy cucumber and fresh coriander. You need to make these ASAP!

You can keep these vegan by using plant based milk and substituting the ghee with avocado or olive oil.

I also have a vegan variation for the paneer tikka included in the recipe.

Prep: 5 mins for the crepes

Cook: 10 mins for the crepes

Serves: 2 adults & 2 toddlers

Suitable From: 6 months +

What do you need?

 2 1/4 cups spelt flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsps flaxseed

1 1/2 cups milk of choice

1 tbsp ghee (+ extra for cooking)

Then...

  1. Mix together the flour, baking powder and flaxseed.
  2. Slowly pour in the milk and the ghee. Combine until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Heat a dash of ghee in a pan and then pour in the batter. I use a large ladle full for each crepe. Spread the batter thinly and cook for a couple of minutes on each side until golden.
  4. I served these topped with mint raita, smashed avocado, paneer tikka, cucumbers and coriander. Unbelievably delicious! You can find the paneer tikka recipe in my eBook, Baby & Toddler Friendly Authentic Indian Food.
