Banana Eggy Bread

This no added sugar French toast is so simple and easy. It comes together in minutes and ripe bananas and cinnamon add natural sweetness to this.

Serves: 1 adult & 1 toddler 

Suitable From: 6 months +


What do you need?

1 ripe banana

1 egg

1 tsp cinnamon

3 slices bread (I use whatever I have on hand!)


  1. Mash the banana until fairly smooth and then crack the egg and whisk in.
  2. Add the cinnamon and whisk until combined.
  3. Place the bread into the eggy mixture and ensure both sides are well coated. If you have time, let it sit in the mixture for a couple of minutes.
  4. Heat a dash of coconut oil in a pan and then cook each side of the bread for a minute or so, until golden brown.
  5. Cut into strips or squares and serve!
