Carrot & Cheese Christmas Crackers 

These delicious crackers are absolutely fabulous! They are so flavoursome, loaded with veg and so easy to whip up!

We have partnered with JoJo Maman Bebe for their Christmas content to bring you these moreish festive crackers that the whole family can enjoy together! They are amazing when paired with some hummus and fruit for snack time!

The carrots add a lovely subtle sweetness that pairs so well with the cheese. I’ve also added in some flaxseed and oats for a nutritional boost. These cheesy crackers are addictive and are sure to become a firm favourite with the whole family.

They are also allergy friendly, nut free, egg free and also freeze really well – so double up the batch and freeze half!

Serves: 25 large crackers or 50 small crackers

What do you need?

1 cup/120g spelt flour

½ cup /45g rolled oats

½ tsp baking powder

2 tbsp milled flaxseeds

1 tbsp mixed dried herbs

½ cup/60g cheddar

1 large grated carrot

2 tbsp olive oil

½ cup/ 120g butter (at room temperature)


1. Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and pulse until combined.

2. If the mixture is a little dry, then add some more oil. You’re looking for a smooth firm dough.

3. Roll the dough between sheets of baking paper to about 3mm – 5mm thickness.

4.Preheat your oven to 180c and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

5. Using Christmas cookie cutters, cut out shapes.

6. Bake for 15 – 20 mins, until golden.

7. Allow to cool before serving.

8. Store in an airtight container for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
