Peanut Butter & Banana No Added Sugar French Toast
Peanut butter and banana is such a winning combination isn’t it? I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to try this!! This breakfast is loaded with protein, healthy fats, flavour and is a nutritious start to the day!
This no added sugar French toast is so simple and easy. It comes together in minutes and ripe bananas and cinnamon add natural sweetness to this.

Cook: 10 mins
Serves: 1 adult & 1 toddler
Suitable From: 6 months +
What do you need?
1 ripe banana
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp peanut butter
3 slices bread (I use whatever I have on hand!)
Then....
- Mash the banana until fairly smooth and then crack the egg and whisk in.
- Add the cinnamon and peanut butter and whisk until combined.
- Place the bread into the eggy mixture and ensure both sides are well coated. If you have time, let it sit in the mixture for a couple of minutes.
- Heat a dash of coconut oil in a pan and then cook each side of the bread for a minute or so, until golden brown.
- Cut into strips or squares and serve!
