Counting With Nature 

We’ve been talking a lot about the changes we can see within nature as we move into fall so I set up this really quick and fun activity outdoors.

Children often rote learn counting but struggle with one to one correspondence. This activity is a fun and engaging way to practice correspondence!

I asked Z to put the correct number of any items he could find in the garden next to the number. It was quite interesting to see he chose to keep the objects uniform, for example 2 sticks and 3 stones!
